Mark's first novel, TOADY, was published in 1989. Since then he has published a further 17 novels, including STITCH, THE IMMACULATE, THE SECRET OF ANATOMY, FIDDLEBACK, THE DELUGE and four books in the popular DOCTOR WHO range. He has also written a number of DOCTOR WHO and TORCHWOOD audios for both Big Finish and the BBC, and is editor of both CINEMA MACABRE, for which he won the British Fantasy Award, and its follow-up volume CINEMA FUTURA. His short fiction, articles and reviews have appeared in a wide variety of anthologies and magazines. Recent and forthcoming work includes the official tie-in novel to zombie apocalypse computer game, DEAD ISLAND, a novelisation of the 1970 Hammer movie, VAMPIRE CIRCUS, and a new short story collection, LONG SHADOWS, NIGHTMARE LIGHT.
