Making things on maternity leave: exactly what it says it is, life and adventures during my time off of working looking after the tiny feudal warlord that is my daughter. My name is Cally Walker. I am currently working as a charity accountant and cleaning up baby vomit. I like a lot of things. Writing, drawing, baking cakes, listing to music that's at least 5 years old as I haven't brought a CD in years, catching up with friends, trying to ignore the little voice reminding me I should be planning a wedding, singing non-stadard nursery rhymes to my daughter, solving physics based evil-computer led problems with my boyfriend, playing board games and trying not to horribly fall into my own mess of a mind. Um what else, lets see...raised by werewolves, has the power to turn invisible at will and is addicted to peaches. Umm what? That's not me? Oh yes I forgot. Imperious, choleric, irascible, extreme in everything (ok so a but fluffy and indecisive in many things) with a dissolute imagination the like of which has never been seen (unless you've been inside my head...have you? is that you in there? *pokes*) there you have me in a nutshell, or a plastic Tesco's bag, which is far easier to make some sort of attempt to fit into. What am I doing with myself you ask? The short answer would be not a lot...but then the short answers are never interesting. I convert oxygen to carbon at an astounding rate, climb mountains with a mere few steps, twist and control the English language on a small rectangular board for my own evil devises, frequently sing badly along to songs and try and save London from attack by angry mobs of radioactive rice puddings. I like to talk to people, so leave me comments and I promise I’ll reply. You can follow me on twitter (@giant_hamster)
