I'm 72 at the time of beginning this blog. Vel and I live here and have since early '04. We used to live in S Calif. An opportunity arose for us to have a good-sized piece of land, in the high desert, and some virgin ground to develop as we pleased. It'd always been my dream. In a way it's an "ending" and as it worked out so well, I called it the "Happy Endings Ranch", even though we don't "ranch". As for myself, I have some hobbies, Ham (amateur) radio, I like working with wood, such as building ship models and such, like to go from scratch sometimes, no plans, just an idea and maybe some photos to go by. I also have a keen interest in things relative to WWII. I have a 5-shelf "memorial", dedicated to Bob Dalton and all the others on the allied side of the war. It consists of absolutely authentic, WWII items, many rare and unusual. Also, there's a guest book, which has many signatures in it from "visitors" who've seen it. I have an interest in weather. I maintain a site at Weatherunderground.com. Under Personal Weather stations, and Arizona, my station is listed as "KAZCANEB1" The data there is close to live. Well, I guess that's enough, 'less you have questions. Just another "old fart", stumbling through life. Oh yeah! Forgot to tell ya, I served 10 years in the Navy, as a Radioman/Cryptographer. Traveled a lot....best years of my life, 'till now!
