I am a stay-at-home mother who never planned to be a stay-at-home mother, who is happy to have (and plans to only ever have) two kids, who relishes the job as said SAHM and tries to do it well, but never does it perfectly, who occasionally misses her job as a high school teacher, who loves living in Portland (it may be the perfect place to be a SAHM), and who has considered herself a writer in the past, but needs a place, a time, and an opportunity to explore her world in writing . . . and this is the way I shall do it.
