Lisa Kane
I'm interested in the politics of streets. In particular, I'm interested in hidden practices and how people, systems and things do their valuing work in our world. I work as a freelance academic writer, researcher and activist and I draw on Science and Technology Studies writers to do my work. I'm a proud co-founder and Board member of "Open Streets Cape Town", a non-profit which works to connect people and build shared spaces respectfully. Previously I have worked as facilitator, mentor, coach, evaluator and trainer and I like to knit together different ways of thinking from engineering, systems thinking, sociology and psychology. I also like to support and work with others, particularly women and parents, chasing their dreams in post-graduate and PhD worlds.
