I probably shouldn't refer to myself as an, "ex-inmate," since I was always on voluntary status whilst in the hospitals I was in. But this sounds nifty, so I'm gonna use it! I've been ensnared in the mental health system ever since I fell to pieces in 1971, at the age of 18. I've been through the whole nine yards in the years since. Yes, I willingly take psychiatric drugs. I now have a speech impairment as a result. I really must congratulate myself, don't you think?
