An ex-reform-school kid, just getting along in the world, when a surprise but very welcome pregnancy at 42 leaves me thinking a lot about what kind of Mom I want to be... you know, in all my spare time. Now that I'm 44 and have a 2-year-old daughter, I've really got to figure this shit out. And now I'm 48, still figuring it out, but my kid is amazing.
