Having shown an interest in animals and science from an early age, I spent the first 16 years of my working life as a small animal, exotic and avian veterinarian, in Adelaide and Melbourne, Australia. To express my creative side and indulge my love of the English language, I created a freelance writing business that provides research, writing, editing and proofreading services, specialising in the biological sciences and particularly the pet care industry. I also work as a medical writer, developing professional educational programs in the human medical field.
