I'm just a guy with a passion for cooking. Previously I've been pondering setting myself a month-long challenge: to see if it is possible, in the UK, to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner on a budget of one pound per day. To raise the bar even further, I'll be starting off with nothing but an empty cupboard. I'll allow myself to use normal kitchen utensils, as well as to carry forward any budget left-over from previous days, but not to borrow from the future. Will I be able to bootstrap myself into a sustainable, nutritious, varied diet? Now I'm taking on a new challenge: To document cooking various interesting dishes that nobody seems to be making themselves these days.
