What I will say is that nothing can compare living your life as it was always meant to be, and this gives you the inner strength to stand up for yourself. When you've merely existed in winter, you know when it's permanent spring, as it is for me now. As a gay man, I am comfortable in my own skin and totally at peace with myself. I know the truth about myself, and that truth has set me free to be myself. I came out at the age of 63, thanks to a remarkable woman, who at that time had been my wife for 25 years, and with whom I still have a deep friendship, despite being divorced. I am now happily married and living in the Philippines.
