Writer, educator, researcher, columnist, poet, and retired professor of social studies. For decades, an active advocate of peace, justice, and critical pedagogy. A husband, father, and grandfather, born in New York City, spent formative years in Chicago, with final decades of work and advocacy in South Texas. Now retired, living in Santa Ana, Costa Rica and engaged in a variety of creative, journalistic, and organizational activities.
