A modern languages teacher in semi-rural Quebec, Canada, I have always considered the word to have power and influence. I look out from the word and sense there are so many new words that need to be created. These words bring in the now and erase the fear and pain of the many as we join together as one united voice of peace. Yes, utopian, yes, unscientific, yes, all the u-words that apply. Consider a language with no u and no I. Consider the world the words create.
