Josh Dear

Simply put, I am a Baptist preacher, teacher, and writer who is "Reformed" (or "Calvinistic") in my theological convictions and loves good books! Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, I moved to Muskegon, Michigan in April 2010 to marry my beautiful sweetheart, Karen - and in May 2011, we had our first child, Luther Martin! I earned a B.A. in "Biblical Studies" from Belhaven College (now Belhaven University), and an M.Div. from Beeson Divinity School. Over the years, I have served as a sales associate at many Christian bookstores, as well as serving at various times as a youth minister, an associate pastor, a co-author of a book, an adjunct Bible teacher at Belhaven University, and the bookstore manager at Reformed Theological Seminary (Jackson campus). Currently, I am the Assistant Pastor at Lakeside Baptist Church in Muskegon. I am also continuing to write, preach, and teach whenever given the opportunity to do so, and praying for the Lord to open the door for me to pastor full-time.
