Austenonly.com we discuss Jane Austen's world by studying the houses, gardens, food, clothes, the law, towns, cities, villages and countryside she knew so well. I am also honoured to be blogging on behalf of the Jane Austen's House Museum in Chawton. I confess-I am a virtual life long admirer of Jane Austen, her works and her world and have been enamoured of her novels since the age of 12. My home in the English countryside overflows with books written by her, about her and with contemporary books and publications of her era. I have been a member of the Jane Austen Society since the age of 16. In what now seems like a previous life, I was a solicitor, and I do love to disentangle Jane Austen’s early 19th century legal problems.
