Iris Lavell
Like many others, I write for fun and as a way of joining the conversation. I am one of the dreaded baby-boomers (always reminds me of kangaroos, that word 'boomers' but that's because I'm Australian, I guess.) Bouncing along... I write in various forms - creative fiction and non-fiction, academic. In the past, a few weird one-act plays for fringe theatre, short stories, poetry, a couple of novels (one, Elsewhere in Success, was actually published - by Fremantle Press) academic papers and a PhD thesis about the playwright Caryl Churchill and the representation of identity (Digitally published on Murdoch University site, and a riveting read!). I kept up another blog about the Book Length Project Group for a couple of years, mainly to talk about keeping up the impetus when working on a book-length project. Not so easy. That's about it.
