Decipher as you will: raised a cheese-head, bibliophile, life-long-learner, constant over-thinker, wife, mother, teacher. For the past four years I have been teaching high school English in Chicago (yes, CPS). I've endured the gut-wrenching experience of hoping and praying for a job, stood on a picket-line while pregnant, and encountered dozens of "strange" moments that, for the moment, are still embedded in my memory. Now I'm taking some time to do another very important job: be a stay-at-home mama. My oldest will be starting kindergarten this year, and my youngest just turned 18-months.
