I was prompted to start this blog based on my 17 year old daughter's recent comment. "Mom, I think you would have been great at blogging if it had come into vogue when we were still young." Truth is, I find parenting to be the most rewarding, funny, heart-altering endeavor I've ever experienced. People tell me how wonderful my now young adult and teenaged children are and all I can think is "wow, how the heck did that happen anyway?" See, I spent a majority of my young mom years obsessing about what an imperfect job I was doing with my children, and perhaps being raised by a pack of wolves really was a viable option for them:) So if you are a newish mom, perhaps I can allay some of your fears. If you are a not so newish mom, perhaps you can relate to some of my undue dramas as I raised up my young ones. Either way, I think parenting experiences should be shared in order to demystify the whole "I must get it exactly right" illusion that I lived under for way too long.
