MA (Oxford), qualified as a barrister. Now retired. Recently an independent business consultant, specialising in project risk (e.g. a critic of the NHS computerisation project). Founder chair of the online medical research company, Medix Global. Previously CEO of various UK technology businesses and, in 1996, Chief Executive of the Central Computing and Telecommunications Agency reporting to the Cabinet Office. Especially interested in environmental and climate issues.
