Retired! I have been paddling and sailing for over 50 years. I grew up on and in the Croton River and the Hudson. Have enjoyed the waters of the Eastern U.S. from Florida to Maine where I have lived since 1976. I have owned kayaks and used to commute to work through the "Old Sow" in Passamaquoddy Bay in an old Baldwin. My druthers is paddling canoes. A better view and easier access to my beer. My wife, Jeanie, is an amazing canoeing partner. A covered Sawyer Charger with a rudder is our current favorite for open ocean paddling. A refurbished, much lighter, Kevlar Sawyer will be in service soon.
