I am a writer who loves to travel...and a traveller who loves to write. I've lived in India, Bahrain, South Africa, Cambodia, England and the USA. I worked as a journalist in South Africa, owned a dining guide in San Diego, wrote a cookbook about traditional Cambodian desserts and freelanced for publications and online sites in the U.S., The Netherlands, South Africa and Southeast Asia. In 2010, my husband and I sold our home in the U.S., quit our jobs, gave away most of our stuff and bought a one-way ticket to Cambodia. For the next three years, I volunteered with an NGO, wrote a book about Cambodia and one about traditional desserts, and wrote articles for local publications. In June 2015, I co-authored Just Go! Leave the Treadmill for a World of Adventure, with Skip and in May 2016, published my first children's picture book, Ogden, The Fish Who Couldn't Swim Straight. A year later (in May 2017),I published Martha The Blue Sheep. Once stepping off that proverbial treadmill, I discovered I was far happier with very little stuff, no car and no home. So Skip and I are now permanent nomads, house sitting throughout Europe, South America and beyond.
