My name is Dru West. I am the mother of four beautiful human beings. Nancy, Marc, Julia and Laura. The two of my older children are from a previous marriage and the two my younger children are from my marriage with my husband Joe. But Joe has been the father to all of my children, raising them with me. Our daughter Julia died on March 15, 2013. Her death was unexpected and sudden. Julia’s husband called us on a Thursday evening when Julia had been admitted to the ICU at a local hospital, we flew to be with her the next day. On Friday, March 15, 2013 about 24 hours from the time she was admitted to the hospital, she died. Julia was 29 years old and had just been married for five weeks.
