Dr. DeWayne R. Stallworth graduated from Tennessee State University in 2003 with a B.S. in Political Science. While matriculating at Tennessee State University he became a member of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity, International and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. In addition, in 2002 he obtained an internship in which he worked for former United States Congressman Bob Clement (5th District) at the Nashville home office. Subsequent to graduating from TSU in Dec. 2003, Dr. Stallworth began working at Beasley, Allen, Crow, Methvin, Portis, & Miles Law Firm which is located in Montgomery, Al; however, rather than pursue a career within the political/law arena, Dr. Stallworth felt led to enter seminary as a means to prepare for ministry. He entered Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Kansas City, MO) in 2005 with a focus on a Masters of Art degree in Counseling. He would graduate early with his MACO degree in 2007. In addition, he would go on and earn his Ph.D. in Counseling Studies from the Harold Abel School of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Capella University. He is currently a M.Div. student at Vanderbilt University School of Divinity. Dr. Stallworth has served as Assistant Professor and Chairman of the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities at Selma University. He has acumen experience as a counselor, former pastor, mentor and academician. He is the Founder and Director of a mentoring program entitled S.C.O.R.E (A Stable Conscience often Requires Education). He is author of one book: Stable Conscience: awareness of God, Self, and Others.
