Eva C. Maddox

Pursuing her love of writing was put on hold for Eva who found herself a single mom of four after twenty years of marriage. As her children matured and left home, Eva married again to a wonderful Christian man who provided well for her and enabled her to return to what she loved—writing. In 2003, Eva was invited by a friend, Wilma Caraway, to attend a workshop led by Marlene Bagnull, Director of the Colorado and Greater Philadelphia Christian Writers Conferences. It was there that Eva was inspired to learn all she could about the craft and business of writing. Shortly thereafter, she joined the Delmarva Christian Writers’ Fellowship, led by Candy Abbott, president of Fruitbearer Publishing. Within a few months, Eva had her first article published in Mature Living magazine. She has gone on to see many articles, devotions and stories appear in a variety of Christian publications. Eva has also self-published 5 books including a 30-day devotional entitled, “God in My itchen,” a children’s book, “Eduardo Magnifico, an Unlikely Hero,” “Come, Go with Me to Littleton Hill,” “Keely, My Life-Changer,” and “From Fit to Infirm.” All are available on Amazon. A recent interest, writing Christian fiction, has spurred Eva on to writing her first novel. It is a story that’s been mulling around in her thoughts for some time and she is excited to finally have finished the rough draft. Eva’s strong commitment to her faith and her family has inspired her to weave the two together through fiction, articles, devotions and poetry.
