a dreamy scrape

Joanna is originally from New Jersey, where, despite the proximity of the sea, she suffered over a decade of writer’s block. Currently living in Portland, OR, her voice has surfaced again. When not busy writing, she's often lifting weights, tracking down good lattes, finding any excuse to head out to the coast, and petting all the dogs and cats she sees. Joanna is a Pushcart Prize Nominee whose work has appeared in theSame online literary journal, CatheXis NorthWest Press, and Dreamers Creative Writing magazine. Pre-pandemic, she was also a regular participant and sometime co-host of a spoken word/writing group.
