Doug lives in Stockton-on-Tees and has the world's largest collection of limerick verse books, books containing limericks, limerick postcards and all manner of 'limeribilia' (limerick toilet paper anyone?) collected over 25 years and counting (as at 2025). He hopes to catalogue the collection in retirement and to create a virtual Museum of Limerick Verse.
