Greetings! I teach technical communication and science writing at graduate and undergraduate levels. My background in technical writing includes 9 years of technical and promotional writing for Honeywell, Inc., and 15+ years as a freelance technical writer and consultant. I teach both in the classroom and online, and am fascinated by the dynamics involved in each setting. Education has always sought new settings--from the open-air marketplace of Athens to the damp halls of European monasteries to the climate-controlled comfort of university campuses. We're interactive, social creatures, and learning will always be an interactive, social process. Another constant in higher education is the demand for graduates who can write and speak effectively about their own and their industries' accomplishments. My students emerge from our time together with strong technical and business writing skills and confidence in their ability to present useful information to audiences of all backgrounds.
