In October of 2013, I paid off my Sallie Mae student loan in full. I owed about $46,000.00. My previous blog, debtfree2015.wordpress.com chronicles this endeavor to pay off the loan using any and all legal means possible. The goal was to be completely debtfree by December 2015. As it turned out, I paid it off far earlier than I ever anticipated. Spent the last two and half years running a small poultry operation with my husband. Recently switched gears back to urban life and finding observations on life and writing about it to be highly satisfying and sane-making.
