I cannot remember a time when I didn't know and love the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal savior. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas and with the exception of service in the United States Navy and a few years out of town for college and work have lived here all of my life. I graduated from the University of Houston in 1959 after serving in the Navy. I devote a lot of my time to working as an online missionary for Global Media Outreach and have been blessed with the opportunity of working with brothers and sisters in Christ all around the world. I have published essays on "Life from a Christian Perspective" since 2011 at rdavidbower.com. I also have several hobbies including audio and video focused on our home theater; I read on a variety of subjects, study the Bible extensively and also enjoy science fiction and some fantasy. I am also the tech guy for our computer network and try my best to keep everything working at the same time. My wife and I have been married for 67 years and are both enjoying my retirement. We have three children, five grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and a grandson-in-law and a granddaughter-in-law. My delight is in the Lord and those things that are His; I look forward very earnestly to the Lord's return and rejoice in its certainty. As a young man I attended and eventually (after 45 years and my retirement from home building) graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary. Financial reverses had forced me to leave seminary and it pleased the Lord to place me in the home building business where I worked for 36 years. In His grace our Lord has permitted me to teach the Bible to many different classes for over 43 years. I am retired now and have lived in Kingwood, Texas since 1975.
