Dama is a writer in the making. They love to explore stories as they explore the natural world. Their current focus is on children's picture books and middle grade novels. They grew up on the uncanny imagination of Shel Silverstein, memorizing and reciting his longest poem in front of their 6th grade class. Authors like Shel made Dama want to make the world a better place for the woodpeckers who pecked at plastic trees and they hope to do that with their own writing.
