Dalya Massachi, founder of Writing for Community Success, specializes in helping community-minded professionals advance their missions through outstanding written materials. She is a widely published writer, trainer and consultant, and has worked in the field for more than 15 years. Ms. Massachi has written countless successful grant proposals and marketing pieces, and has authored scores of newspaper, magazine, and newsletter articles. In addition, she has been involved with the production of several books and has produced a number of websites and radio pieces. Since 2001, Ms. Massachi has taught writing techniques to well over 800 workshop participants. She has also coached dozens of professionals one-on-one. She currently pens a regular column on OpportunityKnocks.org, entitled “The Writer’s Block,” and another on Idealist.org, entitled “Write Right with Dalya.” Ms. Massachi will soon publish a book on writing techniques for the social sector, entitled "Writing to Make a Difference: 25 Powerful Techniques to Boost Your Community Impact.” From 2000-2004, Ms. Massachi served as Founding Director of the largest network of international development organizations on the West Coast: BAIDO (Bay Area International Development Organizations). She now serves on that Advisory Board. Ms. Massachi holds an M.A. in Communication & International Development and a B.A. in International Studies.
