Miss Shirley's English Class

I have a lot to say about education right now... I have been teaching middle school English since 2003, but I took off last year to stay home with my son. Literally the day before I gave birth to him via emergency c-section, I finished an administrative internship that spanned two summers and a school year. My Administrative Certificate is from the Warner School at the University of Rochester, my Master's is from SUNY Geneseo, and my undergrad is from SUNY Fredonia. I have had great experiences as a student and a teacher, and now I have some strong opinions that need to be shared. I hope you find what I write here clear, straightforward, informative, thought-provoking and compelling.
