Tahlia Fischer holds a Ph.D in Communication and Rhetorical Studies from the University of Iowa. She currently teaches in the Women’s and Gender Studies program at Ithaca College. Her research interests include gender and sexuality, American nationalism, religious rhetoric, discourse and power, and LGBT issues. She takes a grounded approach to theory with an emphasis on historical contextualization.
