I am a the sister of a domestic shooting victim. That informs why I write and my passion for the issue of gun violence prevention. I serve on boards at the local, state and national level dealing with gun violence prevention, women's issues and domestic abuse. I have served in elective office. I am a mother, a wife, a grandmother, a friend, a blogger, a world traveler, a reader, a retired educator and interested in all things political, educational, outdoor activities, photography and engaging conversations.
