I'm a former Marine and retired Texas National Guard Soldier, married with a bunch of kids, writing fiction based on my military and LE experience. Just to make sure there's no misunderstanding: I AM NOT, NEVER HAVE BEEN AND NEVER WILL BE A SPECIAL OPERATIONS GUY. In Afghanistan I was allowed to have a beard and long hair because of my job. I'm a regular Joe who had the opportunity to work with some great units and people, and do some pretty cool stuff overseas.
