My love of cuisine started in a small kitchen in Tennessee. I give my h mother, Margie, for introducing me to the basic fundamentals that inspired me to become a professional chef. I come from a family of exceptional cooks, both amateur and professional. I started my career in the hospitality industry, at the age of sixteen, and also worked in dietetics before co-founding Kimmel Construction, Inc., in 1996. Although I strayed from the food service industry temporarily, I continued to prepare meals for my family. The love I had for food grew into passion. I left the family business in 2007 to fulfill my dream of becoming a professional chef and food writer. I received my degree in culinary arts from The Art Institute of Atlanta, where I received two top awards upon graduation. It wasn’t until just recently that my husband convinced me to turn my passion into a business, which I did. Through the efforts and dedication of close friends and family members, Kimmel's Catering is a success!
