I love history, mysteries, and exploring "what if" possibilities through books. There's something magical about reading a book and having an AHA moment. Writing stories doesn't get old because there's always something to tell. Something to explore. For me, writing also helps me sort through the problems in my own mind. Books are therapy. That's why I write. That's why I read.
