I am a quilter/crafter and have been since I was a teen, making clothes for my Barbies. I love to make gifts for people especially when I have some tidbit of information so I can really personalize it. I don't have a huge stack of quilts because I give them away. Someone said that I am a process person, I love the process of making the quilts and when I am done I move onto the next project. I started making what I would call "designer" quilts around 1993 after a visit to my sister. My sister opened my eyes to this world of rotary cutters, mats, books, magazines and patterns. I call them designer because they are planned out and have a design to them. I had made a few quilts before that, but they were simple 1 patch quilts made out of clothing or whatever. I am now really looking into making some money at quilting and have a goal to get it under way this summer.
