I am a 63 year old male; even though I live just outside of Chicago I am a lifetime St, Louis Cardinal fan. My love affair with The Birds On The Bat began in 1956 at the age of 9. This is when I discovered baseball. There was large park behind our house and everyday a bunch of guys would be playing ball. After watching for a couple of days I joined in , and have been hooked ever since. To me baseball is the greatest game. My son and I attend several ballgames, including Minor League games. This past summer my 7 year old granddaughter has become interested in playing and attending games with us. At least once a summer we drive to St. Louis and take in a series. My favorite quote is : "And on the eighth day God created baseball!" Go Redbirds! Peace
