I'm the author of the memoir They Only Eat Their Husbands. My stories have appeared in The Los Angeles Times, Slackjaw, Manifest-Station, Rivet Journal, and Dove Tales. I’m a winner of The Moth StorySlam and appear in many storytelling shows, including Unheard L.A., Otter Story Hour, and Two Truths and a Lie. I've taught young writers at Lighthouse Writers Workshop, and written for HGTV and Food Network. My husband and I live in Ventura, California.
