Previously Director/Design Futurist at Samsung Research America; Director and Chief UX Architect in the Office of the CEO at SAP Labs (Palo Alto), and before that Design Researcher at Microsoft's Office Design Group (Redmond). Ph.D. in Computing Science and Psychology from the University of Glasgow (UK) on Human Error in Medicine. Award-winning research and design (incl. Outstanding Inventor award at Samsung Research), and Sun Microsystem's prize for best dissertation. Over 30 publications, incl. 3 journal articles, 7 full, peer-reviewed archival papers, and 2 book chapters. Frequent panelist and invited speaker. Past CHI workshops chair, case studies chair, UX papers subcommittee chair, jury member on workshops and case studies submissions, and on CHI best papers award committee.
