Bruce Mulkey

A veteran of several progressive political campaigns (including Obama's 2008 presidential race), I have contributed to The Good Men Project, The Washington Post, The Huffington Post, Elephant Journal, and The ManKind Project. Previously I served as an editorial columnist at the Asheville Citizen-Times, and prior to that, I wrote for Holt, Rinehart and Winston's high school textbook division. I currently spend much of my time writing, playing handball, trail running with my wife Shonnie Lavender, joining my family in rousing games of Scrabble, and watching Simpsons episodes with my high-spirited, fiercely independent ten-year-old daughter.
