I'm a mechanical engineer, but, of course, more. Much more. I've been an Entertainment Engineer, and an Aerospace Engineer. I worked on the design of humanoid androids to help NASA build the International Space Station. I designed a giant robotic claw to capture errant satellites. I also led the mechanical design team that helped create the world largest and most technologically advanced performance stage (the Sand Cliff Deck, in Cirque du Soleil's "KA"). I ran a small, non-profit theater group, and produced, directed and/or acted in many of its productions. I've worked on an independent feature film (it never even made it to VHS, let alone DVD). I've also consulted on science fiction books and comics (the Ender's Game series, Ender's Shadow series, Battle School, and Wyrms), and on the science fiction series "Lost In Space" on Netflix.
