Indigenous People and their Landscapes

Dr Bola serves as the lead partner at Farmideas Nigeria; with special interest in youth, women empowerment and advocacy in agriculture and agribusiness. His previous and current professional research works have consistently focused on Agricultural Transformation, Agribusiness, Climate Change, Forestry, Postharvest and Rural Development issues. He has intensively interacted with farmers, stakeholders, and scientists from various disciplines and cultural backgrounds. For example, working as a farm officer at a farmland, he planned, monitored, and successfully promoted various activities aimed at triggering growth in youth participation in agriculture. He has also developed his research skills by compiling in-depth research results and writing various reports and peer-reviewed articles, some of which he communicated to policymakers and scientists at various fora. He engages in extension services to educate, train and sensitize women, youths and other rural dwellers on climate smart agriculture, sustainable landscapes and reforestation. In addition, he has successfully participated in research that highlights the importance and benefit of water efficiency, recycling and the ecosystem. He is a resource person to many organizations and NGOs within and outside Africa. He is actively involved in issues relating to landscapes, Forest policy and governance and building a sustainable Africa through AGENDA 2060. He is a writer, researcher and a member of the Young Professionals for Agricultural Development (Ypard)
