Wendie Donabie

Poetry, short stories, paint, ink, brushes and a vivid imagination fill my creative toolbox. My love of language – alliteration, metaphor and simile drive my passion to write and when words won’t do the job, I turn to my easel and a fresh canvas. My artistic goal is to communicate realistic-impressions that entice the viewer or reader to enter into my world and experience what I’ve created in his or her own unique way. Today, more and more, my creative work expresses my desire to increase awareness of the beauty and fragility of our shared home and our corporate responsibility to care for Earth and for each other. The Great Blue Heron is my favourite bird. It is a symbol of contemplation, vigilance, divine wisdom, and inner quietness - all qualities needed in pursuing our dreams.
