Nalini Rajan is Professor and Dean of Studies, Asian College of Journalism, in Chennai, India. She has a Ph.D. in Social Communication from l’Universite Catholique de Louvain. She was Visiting Fellow at the University of Edinburgh, University of Oxford, and at the Hastings Center for Bio-Ethics in New York. She has lectured widely on subjects related to democracy, human rights, secularism, and multiculturalism, and participated in various conferences, seminars, and workshops, related to these subjects. She has won numerous awards and grants which have enabled her to travel widely in Europe, North and South America, and North and West Africa. She has written four books on political philosophy, three fictional works, and edited five on the media.
