Barry A. Parks

Welcome to BarryAParks.com – a website devoted to illustrating selective examples of my paintings as well as travel photos and my pre-retirement careers. I am a registered architect and practiced for many years in both Winston-Salem, NC and in Houston, TX. The majority of my work revolved around the design of religious and educational facilities. Between 2013 and 2023, I shifted to the role of Senior Project Director at Lone Star College’s University Park campus, overseeing design and construction of many projects. Now, I find that retirement is offering me the opportunity to focus on favorite hobbies including travel, photography, and especially production of paintings that reference and tie the other two interests together.
