Loved my career as a teacher of French language and culture, all the while raising two daughters solo. The gods of retirement smiled upon me at a decent age. The children had left, the cat died, and I bid adieu to my country home. Became a city mouse and learned that less is more. Emerged from the four walls of the classroom to a no-boundaries existence as a tour guide. Now happily traveling and hopefully blogging my way through many travel adventures to come!
