What was it Darwin said? "Adapt or die?" I'm mutating these days, growing extra wings for the spirals in life's jet streams demand flexibility and versatility. One wing writes newspaper columns and feature stories. Another shares longtime experience in the realm of public and media relations. But not to be pegged wriggling upon the proverbial wall, I have a complete manuscript too. The novel's working title? "Twisted Ticket." Its overseas military setting straddles genres as a psychological and political novel. Once published, I hope to further the narrative as a series. As for scholarship, I've recently completed a thesis-level master of arts in the humanities. The thesis, on author Murakami Haruki, ethics, and postindustrial Japan, encompasses literary fiction and religious philosophy. Murakami is the wildly popular contemporary author whose postmodernist fiction has been translated into more than 50 languages. Watch for teasers on my own novel, however, to be published as soon as I find the right agent and publisher. It will wing its way into bookstores 'ere long.
