Ty has been advising and facilitating arts organizations and campus arts programs since 1995. He is currently the Managing Director of Boston University's Arts Initiative. Prior to arriving in Boston, Ty spent 15 years developing and supporting arts programs at the University of Pennsylvania. A graduate of Juniata College, Ty also holds a Doctorate in Education from Penn’s Graduate School of Education and a Masters in Theatre from Villanova University. He is a founding member of Arts Administrators in Higher Education, serves as Co-Chair of the Co-Curricular Task Force for the Alliance for the Arts in Research Universities, and a reviewer for Praxis, a new on-line journal for theatre, performance studies and criticism.
