I am a writer and former high school teacher in the areas of Health, Social Studies and English. I also taught as an assistant in the Sociology Department of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. I have worked as a medical transcriptionist and medical office assistant as well as a research assistant and writer for Cooperative Extension in Western Massachusetts. I received a B.A. in Anthropology, with a minor in Comparative Literature, from the University in 1979. I have written three novels and several articles in various areas, such as education, child development, teen issues, sex education, history and literature. I also write poetry and have been published at Poetry.com. I live in Western Massachusetts and love the rich cultural atmosphere and landscape of the Connecticut River Valley. My areas of interest include writing, research, music, travel, film, medicine, gardening, history, anthropology, environmental issues and politics.
